Get set for an emotional evening at ITV as The Pride of Britain Awards pay tribute to some of the most amazing fundraisers and community spirited people around.

Thursday's TV is heavy on hard-hitting drama, with Channel 5 launching new detective series Dalgliesh, BBC Two concluding Guilt and Sky continuing with Temple.

Celebrities and public figures including HRH Prince Charles, Ant and Dec, Anne-Marie, Ed Sheeran, Pixie Lott, KSI, Harry Kane, Joanna Lumley OBE, Stephen Fry, Westlife, Jordan Pickford and Sharon Stone are among the stars to salute the nation's incredible unsung heroes at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2021, in partnership with TSB. 
 
Hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, more than 100 celebrities will honour the amazing winners at the Grosvenor House in London’s Park Lane.
 
As well as extraordinary stories of bravery, selflessness and phenomenal fundraising feats, there will also be plenty of surprises and emotional moments in store – with stars from the worlds of film, television, music and sport uniting to pay tribute to ordinary members of the public who have done truly extraordinary things.

Back in person, The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2021 will be even more important than ever this year as it celebrates the best people from around the UK, in what has been a tumultuous two years.

Prince Charles, Ant and Dec, Joanna Lumley and Ed Sheeran are among the famous faces celebrating the most community-spirited people in the UK at the annual tearjerking awards.

As usual, it's hosted by Carol Vorderman and this year she'll be joined by Ashley Banjo to showcase big-hearted and brave people doing amazing things.

Dalgliesh - Channel 5 - 9pm

This new crime drama is based on PD James' novels about Inspector Adam Dalgliesh and stars Bertie Carvel as the title character.

Set in the 70s, this first episode sees Dalgliesh investigating the suspicious death of a student nurse during a training demonstration.

Mark Bonnar's Scottish series about a disbarred lawyer concludes its second season tonight.

Bonnar's character Max is facing some tense decisions and a lack of time to sort out his options, while the Lynch family are confronted with a very dark secret.

Temple - Sky - 9pm

Rogue surgeon Daniel, played by Mark Strong, faces a new challenge tonight when he's asked to perform an undercover operation at a mystery mansion.

But with pressures from every side weighing heavy on his mind, will his surgical skills be up to the job?

Sort Your Life Out - BBC One - 8pm
