Pret's always been one for conjuring up lip-smackingly good menus for every season. But we have to admit, this might just be their *best* one yet...
Brand-new for 2023, Pret A Manger is adding not one, not two – but 10 new items to its menu, and they're all available from 10th January.
Yep! Your lunchtime trips to Pret are in for an upgrade, with a brand-new baguette, focaccia, a protein box, two breakfast boxes, a pasta, broth, fruit pot, and new eight-strong range of sandwiches. Sounding like quite the line-up, right?
The best part? The new sarnie selection is part of the expansion of Pret's 'Made Simple' value range, so each sandwich is priced starting at £2.99. Happy tum, happy bank balance. Fillings stick to the classics and include Ham & Cheese, Mature Cheddar & Pickle, Hummus & Veg and Chicken Salad.
That's not the only budget-friendly launch for Pret in the new 2023 menu, during January Pret fans will be able to grab a freshly made baguette and crisps for £5. Oh-so tempting, isn't it?
Sticking with the baguette theme, a brand-new baguette filling is new for 2023 - the vegan friendly Plant Ploughman's Baguette, made with smoky vegan cheeze from Violife, spicy chipotle ketchup, Pret pickle chutney, roasted tomatoes, sliced red onion and salad. No more missing out on Posh Cheddar & Pickle for vegans!
Also up for grabs is a selection of high-protein boxes. We're talking a Bacon & Egg Breakfast Beans Box or Halloumi & Egg Breakfast Beans Box to start the day, and a
Chicken & Avo Protein Box, made with British chicken slices, chopped boiled free range eggs, sliced avocado, soya edamame beans, spinach, French dressing and sesame seeds, for lunch.
There's more in store for Veggie Pret fans, with the launch of the Spicy No'Duja Toasted Focaccia (rosemary focaccia filled with red pesto, mushroom No'duja, smoky vegan cheeze, red pepper and fresh basil leaves - yep, sounds tasty), a PLT sandwich (aka plant, lettuce, tomato), and Spicy No'Duja and Tomato Macaroni.
For those feeling the need to add some comfort and brothy goodness into their post-Christmas diet, there's the aromatic and veg-filled Spicy Lemongrass Chicken Broth, and for fruity fans there's a holiday-vibes Tropical Fruit Pot.
And last, but by no means least, the Chicken Pesto Wrap is back on the menu this year, yay!
Guy Meakin, Interim UK Managing Director at Pret, said of the new menu: “At Pret, we’re committed to continuously innovating our menu in response to customers’ needs. With the cost-of-living crisis impacting people across the country, this year we wanted to introduce new products and deals that give customers more choice and value for money, whilst ensuring our fresh food and delicious tasting products are not compromised."
We've said it before and we'll say it again, Pret know exactly what they're doing. Now, who's for some lunch?
