The weekend can’t come soon enough with news that Pret is handing out free vegan cookies this Friday (August 16).

Sure to prove the perfect afternoon pick-me-up, customers can bag the delicious treat from their local coffee pit-stop between 3pm and 4pm.

Designed to lift you out of that post-lunch slump, the dark chocolate and almond butter cookie is on offer nationwide from both Pret and Veggie Pret stores.

Global Head of Food Innovation at Pret, Hannah Dolan, said: “We know our dark chocolate and almond butter cookie is one of our customers’ favourites - we’ve had hundreds of messages from vegans and non-vegans alike, telling us how much they love it.”

“Enjoy it on us this Friday afternoon. It’s delicious when paired with a cup of our organic coffee or English Breakfast Tea!”

Lovingly made from chunks of dark chocolate and almond pieces with a sprinkling of sea salt to finish, the cookie, which is usually £1.45, has long proven a starring snack amongst customers (yep, guilty).

To claim the deal, all you have to do say the secret password at the till which will be revealed on Thursday via Pret’s social media channels - no need to keep refreshing the page, as we’ll make sure to keep you updated.

Though this isn’t the first time the coffee giant has treated us to a well-deserved treat, as Pret recently gave away free iced coffee just in time for the heatwave.
