The Post Office is set to reopen at a new location after a town has gone nearly three months without one.

Normanby's post office shut in January, after the shop it was located in shut down, leaving residents having to go further afield to post letters and parcels.

But mail services have been restored in Normany, as the Post Office is set to reopen in a new location in town - Premier, Normanby Mini Market, on Normanby Road.

The opening hours are Monday to Sunday, from 8 am to 7 pm.

The previous branch at McColl’s, 33 High Street, Normanby, TS6 0NH, closed in January due to the closure of the store, where the branch was based.

Kenny Lamont, Post Office Network Provision Manager, said: “We are delighted to have restored a Post Office to this area as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.

"The branch’s opening hours will make it convenient for customers to visit.”
