POLICE are seeking the identification of three men as part of an investigation into an assault in Newport last Saturday (January 21).

Do you recognise the men in the photos below?

Two women had been in the Hogshead on the High Street and left the bar at around 1.48am.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary say that the women walked across St Thomas Square and through the alleyway to Pyle Street.

At some point on their journey, they were joined by three men who assaulted both of the women.

This follows an altercation at the Pyle Street and Town Lane junction at around 2.10am.

One of the women suffered a broken wrist during this incident, and a third woman was assaulted as she tried to intervene.

The men responsible left the scene on foot.
