A teenager who punched a police officer seven times during a festival has been fined.

Kelsey Drew, 18, of Highgate in King’s Lynn, attacked the officer during the final night of Festival Too in King’s Lynn this summer.

At around 8.30pm on July 8, the officer was punched seven times and kicked twice by Drew while they were arresting another man.

It happened at the junction of Norfolk Street and High Street in the town, just outside where the festival was being held.

In August, Drew was charged with resisting arrest, assaulting an emergency worker and criminal damage to his glasses.

She appeared at King’s Lynn Magistrates' Court on Thursday (September 21) and pleaded guilty to the charges.

Drew was ordered to pay a £183 fine along with compensation and court fees.
