Watch: Platinum Jubilee concert details

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee will be marked with a special concert at Buckingham Palace.

The Platinum Party at the Palace will see an array of musicians, actors and sports stars celebrate the monarch's 70 years on the throne.

Organisers have said the "once-in-a-lifetime" show will celebrate "some of most significant cultural moments" of the Queen's reign.

Here is everything we know about the star-studded gig so far.

When is the Platinum Jubilee concert?

The Platinum Party at the Palace will take place on Saturday, 4 June.

The event is one of the most-high profile celebrations happening over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

Who's on the line-up?

Queen + Adam Lambert will open the historic gig, which will be set on three stages in front of Buckingham Palace.

The band hope to better the Golden Jubilee 20 years ago, when guitarist Brian May performed God Save The Queen on the palace roof.

The concert will also feature Alicia Keys, Nile Rodgers, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Rod Stewart, Duran Duran, George Ezra and James Bond composer Hans Zimmer.

Sir Elton John will make a pre-recorded appearance, while Diana Ross will close the show – her first UK live performance in 15 years.

Motown legend Ross said she was "absolutely delighted" to be invited to perform on the "momentous and historic occasion".

Other names on the line-up include Ella Eyre, Craig David, Mabel, Elbow, Mimi Webb, Celeste, Jax Jones, Sigala and Eurovision star Sam Ryder.

Outside the world of music, there will be special appearances from:

  • Sir David Attenborough

  • David Beckham

  • Emma Raducanu

  • Stephen Fry

  • Dame Julie Andrews

  • The Royal Ballet

  • Paralympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds

  • Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda

  • The casts of five West End musicals

  • Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity

The Queen will not attend the event herself, although she is expected to be watching on television from Windsor Castle.

Prince Charles and Prince William are expected to deliver public tributes to the monarch at the concert.

Can I still get tickets?

Sadly, it's too late to get tickets to attend the concert. Ten thousand free tickets have already been allocated in a public ballot, which closed in March.

A further 7,500 tickets have gone to key workers, volunteers, charity workers and members of the Armed Forces.

How can I watch it live on TV?

Saturday's event will be broadcast live from 7:30pm on BBC One, iPlayer and Radio 2, with coverage led by Kirsty Young and Roman Kemp.

Young, who is returning to the BBC for the first time since 2018, said she was "delighted" to be hosting "such a historic, unique, and happy event".

She said: "It's going to be quite a weekend, and our coverage will bring viewers everywhere a front-row seat at the celebrations. I can't wait!"

Charlotte Moore, the BBC's chief content officer, added: "We are thrilled to be bringing the nation together for this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime event, broadcast live across the BBC with an amazing star-studded line-up of performers to celebrate the Queen's momentous 70 years on the throne."
