In this episode of 1K Dream Room, host Will Taylor (@brightbazaar) helps Christina modernize her bedroom with just $1,000 to spend and one day to finish. Christina’s bedroom is spacious, minimal, and flooded with tons of natural light, making it the perfect blank canvas for a full-blown makeover. In addition to wanting to add a little more color and pizazz to her bedroom, Christina is also looking for additional storage space after a desk took the place of a bookshelf, among other items, since she’s been working from home.
Will begins transforming Christina’s bedroom into a homey sanctuary with a wood-accented headboard and linen duvet set from H&M for her bed, to give the space some warmth. He also places a small white chair with no arms in a corner to infuse the room with some character without it feeling cluttered.
Next up, Will completely revamps Christina’s office space by adding a sleek, smaller solid wood writing desk and a gray desk chair with wheels. A compact filing cube on wheels tucked neatly beside the desk provides excellent storage for papers and additional surface space.
Will creates more storage and display space by including a simple wooden bookshelf and a modern 6-drawer dresser. When styling a bookshelf, Will recommends placing objects in groups of three for an effortless and sophisticated look.
When it’s time for the big reveal, Christina is amazed by the transformation and is particularly impressed by how tidy it feels. Altogether, Christina loves her room’s natural color scheme and decorative storage features. This serene and functional bedroom maximizes every nook and cranny and will definitely help Christina calmly shift between work and relaxation.
