Fans of A Place In The Sun were quick to spot a potential hiccup in an featuring potential house hunters Greg and Tina.

The sun-loving couple, who revealed they had been soaking up the rays in Cyprus for over four decades, were ready to put down roots on the island with the assistance of presenter Leah Charles-King.

With a healthy £190,000 budget, they were on the hunt for a property boasting at least two bedrooms, some outdoor space, and a pool for family visits. However, it was their trio of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that raised eyebrows among viewers.

The show's fans are no strangers to seeing hopeful buyers prioritising their pooches' needs, sometimes over practical considerations for their own dream home.

When the episode was aired in February, Twitter lit up with reactions, as one viewer exclaimed: "Oh oh dogs." Another chimed in with a slightly exasperated, "Why are there always dogs? ".

Concern also rippled through the audience, reports the Liverpool Echo, with comments like, "Please no" and "Dogs again this should be fun."

Leah revealed that several properties already had pets, which seemed to reassure Greg and Tina in their decision-making. After viewing five gorgeous homes, the pair made an offer that was initially turned down but eventually accepted following some negotiation. In the end, Tina, Greg, and their furry friends snagged their ideal Cypriot retreat and even kept £15,000 in their pockets.

This isn't the only potential mishap house hunters on A Place in the Sun have seen as in a recent episode, buyer Donna hoped to find her perfect holiday home abroad. Joined by her best friend Savannah, Donna was on the hunt for a two-bedroom apartment in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, with a budget of £70,000.

However, Donna faced some challenges after moving in, including a broken boiler. She recalled: "We came back from a night out at 2am and found a flooded kitchen. We were scooping water out of the window with bowls. Then we had no water for two days so we showered on the beach.

“But I found a great local engineer to sort it out, and when the fridge broke down a bit after that, I gave him a call and again he helped replace it for me. "
