Police in Worcester are attempting to track down a man who has been terrifying school children by approaching them while wearing a pig mask.

Pupils have been left too frightened to walk to class after the creepy suspect approached them in the street in the Barnards Green area of Malvern.

There have been reports of him targeting children at two separate schools in the area while donning the porky disguise and jumping out in front of pupils.

The Chase School Malvern, a secondary school with 1,500 pupils, has written to parents warning them about the man and urging them to report any incidents to police.

There are also reports of the offender, who has been branded ‘Pig Man’ by locals, outside Great Malvern Primary School, which has 345 pupils aged three to 11.

Residents have also expressed their fears of Pig Man on social media and criticised the force for not acting sooner to protect the children.

Stacey Dooley wrote on Facebook: “Not only is it scaring children it's also scaring parents.”
