20 best views in the UK revealed: How many have you visited?

If you thought Britain was just made up of long, grey motorways and multi-storey car parks, think again.

As these photos prove, it has some absolutely mind-blowing viewpoints.

The 20 best views in the UK have been chosen by a panel of travel experts alongside the public and they are simply spectacular.

And the best view in Britain is in Wales.

Snowdonia National Park contains the UK’s most breathtaking viewpoint – specifically the panorama across Snowdon mountain above the lake of Llyn Llydaw.

Second place went to the Three Sisters mountains in the Glen Coe Valley in Scotland, which had five entries in the top 20.

The third best view in the UK was at Stonehenge in Wiltshire, according to the poll.

It was compiled by experts at travel publications such as Good Housekeeping, Wanderlust, Rough Guides and Mr and Mrs Smith, before 2,500 members of the public voted for their favourites.

The list was published to coincide with the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S8 smartphone, which is being used by Britain’s landscape photographer of the year, Matthew Cattell, to shoot the 20 best views.
