Jenny Packham's best red carpet creations

Following her huge success among Hollywood starlets and royalty, Jenny Packham will be the latest designer to create a one-off collection for Debenhams.

Previous designers who have collaborated with the high street department store include Julien Macdonald, Roksanda Illincic and Matthew Williamson.

The British-based designer will launch a range of occasion wear and jewellery for the retailer which will be available in spring.

Packham’s designs have been the red carpet choice for celebrities for a while but her profile sky-rocketed thanks to one influential fan, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Since Kate sparkled in a £3,800 shimmering gown by Packham at the ARK charity gala last year A-list stars including Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet have turned to the designer for a red carpet dress.

While her pieces will set you back three figures it is a good thing this special range for Debenhams is purse-friendly and will give us all the chance to know what it feels like to be draped in one of her special silk gowns.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet wore this monochrome Packham dress to the 2012 Golden Globes.

The actress only accessorised with straight earrings, a gold bangle and metallic clutch.

Packham told Vogue UK the key to Kate’s look is simple: “I believe very much that the dress should make the woman feel confident and attractive.

“Kate, for example, wears very classic glamorous styles with well-defined silhouettes. The dress chosen combines these looks and does not overpower or compete with Kate's beauty.”

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie wore this one-shoulder silk-chiffon gown in red to the Tree of Life premiere in May 2011.

We think this Grecian-style dress is a win for Jolie as it compliments her long and lean frame.

Kate Beckinsale

The Duchess outshone the other celebrity guests while wearing the shimmering dusky pink cap-sleeve gown.
