Peter Andre left 'freaked out' by ghostly noises in recording studio
Peter Andre isn't a man who scares easily but that's not to say he doesn't believe in the supernatural. In his exclusive column this week, the soon-to-be 52 year old talks about a ghostly encounter he had as a younger man, which he still can't fully explain.
He also wades in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's highly-publicised first public appearance together in months, whey they put engaged a passionate kiss for the world to see.
Ahead of his birthday next week, he also reflects on what he's achieved over the last 30 years - especially when it comes to family - and chats about an important milestone for himself and wife Emily MacDonagh...
Harry is game
The Invictus Games took place last week and looked great. People always have a lot to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but when it comes to the Games, it’s about what it stands for and what the participants gain from it – all the good that Harry has done with the event.
We need to separate what’s going on in their personal lives from the great work Harry has done, as his contribution does help people. It must be difficult being someone like Harry who is constantly being judged no matter what he’s doing.
Notes from beyond
I’ve seen Danny Robins has been investigating paranormal activity in his TV show Uncanny and I do think it’s an interesting subject.
I don’t know whether I believe it or not. I’ve had some weird experiences, but I can’t quite explain what they were. For example, I had a strange experience at the beach resort my dad and I used to own in Australia.
It had a basement that I was turning into a recording studio with my brother Chris. One day, he was playing his guitar down there and then he came upstairs to talk to me. No one was at the resort that day but us and it was locked.
All of a sudden, we heard the violin playing. We went down and saw the violin plugged in, the guitar placed somewhere else and no one was there. So that’s one of my paranormal stories – we were really freaked out. To be fair, it could have just been musical chairs.
Living the dream
There’s one week to go until my 52nd birthday, which is weird because I’d never have thought 30 years ago that at 52 I’d be touring and doing films and music. I always dreamed of it but I never realised how great it would be.
It’s a special year this year – I’ve got the release of my first film coming up, my first album in years, 10 years of marriage to Emily, Arabella turning one and Princess turning 18, so there are a lot of milestones to come.
For now, I’m going to savour every last moment of this week as a 51-year-old.
Chin up, Tay Tay
I saw Taylor Swift was booed at the Super Bowl and I did feel for her as it’s horrible for anyone to be booed or heckled. But when you’re that big of a name and have that many fans around the world, you’re not going to be liked by everyone. She’s got a solid fan base who stick by her so I don’t think she’s got anything to worry about.
Dad dancing
Princess and I were back with another TikTok dance last week, which is always a great laugh. She regularly gets me to do TikToks. She’ll come up to me and I say, “Nah, nah…” but then two seconds later I’m doing them.
It’s a bit of fun and she does crack me up. She posts them on her account mainly so I’m not too sure what people say about them, but I’ve re-shared this one on Instagram. I do the odd one on mine too, so watch this space.
