Peter Andre has banned his daughter Princess from appearing on Love Island.

The 14-year-old, the Mysterious Girl singer's daughter with ex-wife Katie Price, is keen to compete on the ITV dating show, but Peter has put his foot down and told her that the only way she can appear on the reality show is as a presenter.

"Princess has said she wants to do it but I still haven’t changed my mind about that," he wrote in his new! magazine column. "Presenting it? Yes. A contestant? Not so sure!

"She said to me, 'Would you ever let me go on Love Island?' I said to her, 'When they start doing Love Island based on priests and nuns and they’re having their sermons on Sundays you can go on Love Island but until then no chance.'"

The star previously told Woman magazine that he doesn't even allow Princess to watch the series, but he's considering changing his mind now she's turned 14.

While the dating show is out of the question, Peter would allow Princess and his son Junior, 16, to take part in jungle survival show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! as that's where he met their mum.

"And I get that because he and Princess are the only children to ever have been born as a result of the jungle," he added to the publication.

Peter also has two children with his wife Emily MacDonagh.
