Pete Davidson mocks double standards as he addresses Kate Beckinsale relationship
Pete Davidson and Kate Beckinsale got tongues wagging (ahem) after the pair were papped enthusiastically French kissing at a hockey game the other weekend (and while Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski politely looked on).
The 25-year-old comedian has criticised people's "crazed fascination" with the age gap between him and 45-year-old actress Kate, and wonders why there are so many high-profile men famously dating much younger women who seem to be immune from the same scrutiny.
"Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference," the star said on SNL when teased by Colin Jost.
"But it doesn't really bother us. But then again, I'm new to this. So if you have questions about a relationship with a big age difference, just ask Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Statham, Michael Douglas, Richard Gere, Jeff Goldblum, Scott Disick, Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford, Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn, whoever the president of France is, Mel Gibson, Jagger..."
His list went on.
Pete is moving on since his split from Ariana Grande, to whom he was briefly engaged. He and Pearl Harbour star Kate have apparently been a thing since the twosome were spotted leaving a Golden Globes after-party together back in January. The pair appeared to finally confirm their coupledom with their cheeky snog at that aforementioned hockey match in LA.
A month later, they were photographed leaving Pete's comedy show in Los Angeles, before reportedly going back to Pete's hotel together. And Ariana commented on Pete and his new lady-friend, telling a paparazzo: "So cute!"
Ariana and Pete ended their five-month relationship in October last year.
