Will Perfect Match on Netflix get a season 2?
Netflix fans have gobbled up season one of Perfect Match, and are desperately looking ahead to a potential season two of the all-star dating show. Now that you know which couples from season one are still together, here's everything we know about a potential Perfect Match season 2, from suggested release date to cast and more.
In case you need reminding, Perfect Match sends contestants from the likes of The Mole, Too Hot To Handle and The Ultimatum into a villa in the hope of finding their perfect match. Contestants aim to couple up each night, and are given compatibility tests each day, with the winning pair sent on a luxury date, and also given the option to pick two new bombshells to send on dates with people already in the villa.
Has Perfect Match season 2 been confirmed?
The short answer is no, we haven't heard anything from Netflix about a Perfect Match season 2, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. The streaming platform have been putting a huge focus on their home-grown dating shows recently, renewing everything from Love Is Blind for multiple seasons to launching Are You The One? and Too Hot To Handle across multiple countries.
The first series of the show was also launched *slightly* out of the blue, announced mere weeks before it launched on Netflix on Valentine's Day 2023. So maybe they weren't expecting it to be quite such a success, and that could be a sign there's more to come?
Who would star in Perfect Match season 2?
There is *slight* hitch when it comes to figuring out who might star in Perfect Match season 2, and that's because the line up relies on an All Star cast from previous dating shows. 24 people were featured in season one of Perfect Match that had previously appeared on other Netflix dating shows.
Considering they have to have been unsuccessful during their first dating show - and also willing to appear on another round of reality TV - it's questionable whether there's enough cast remaining for a follow up series.
But all that said, we can definitely think of some names we'd love to see. How about Deepti Vempati from Love Is Blind season 3? Or Marvin Anthony from Too Hot To Handle season 2?
What is Perfect Match season 2's expected release date?
Until it gets confirmed, it's hard to know for sure. Perfect Match season 1 was filmed in early 2022, announced on the 18th January 2023 and released just under a month later on Valentine's Day (14th February) 2023.
Following this pattern, assuming the show was confirmed soon and filmed in the first part of 2023, we wouldn't expect Perfect Match season 2 to land on screens until early 2024. UGH.
Who would host Perfect Match season 2?
Nick Lachey from Love Is Blind took the reins for season one, and we can't see why he wouldn't take up the role for season two, too. Maybe with wife Vanessa this time too?!
