A rather strange pizza topping has send the Internet into melt-down mode this week.
Forget pineapple: A Twitter user uploaded a photo of their pizza topped with – wait for it – strawberries. Bleurghhh.
We like strawberries and we like pizza. But somehow the two just don’t go together.
“I’m going to throw up,” responded one person on Twitter. “At least it’s better than pineapple,” said another.
Bizarrely, there are plenty of recipes for savoury strawberry pizzas to be found, whether you’d prefer a basil-infused version or one with bacon and caramelised onions.
