People have a theory about a possible Bake Off romance

The Great British Bake Off is done for another year, and while we wipe away the tears (and order another round of baklava), fans of the show have been busy building a theory about a possible romance between two of the contestants, and frankly, we're very into it. Finale spoilers below, obviously.

This year's Great British Bake Off was as dramatic as ever, from Crystelle's oddly sexy dress cake in Free-From Week to Jurgen practically shooing Noel Fielding away from his bench during Patisserie Week. And of course, Bake Off wouldn't be Bake Off without a rumoured romance between the contestants. Well, this year, fans think they've picked up on something between finalists Crystelle Pereira and Chigs Parmar, and they've turned into full 'Chigstelle' stans.

Obviously, we don't know for sure if either Chigs or Crystelle are single or if they have partners. Plus, we all know that despite the fact it's *just* cake, that tent is one of the most emotionally charged environments in the UK, so it may be that they're just good pals, supporting each other through a heated baking competition. But, if Bake Off has taught us anything... we can dare to dream, right?
