Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's engagement was finally shown on The Kardashians, and one person who had a slightly heartbreaking reaction to the whole thing was her daughter, Penelope Disick.

Back in October, everyone's favourite pop-punk PDA couple revealed they were engaged to be married, after 10 months together. The big moment, which took place on the beach in Montecito, California, surrounded by rose petals, was filmed for the family's new reality show, and finally aired today [5 May.]

While Kourtney was shocked by the proposal, another person who was quite overwhelmed by the whole thing was daughter Penelope, 9, who Kourtney called to share the news with. The mum of three - she also has Mason, 12, and Reign, 7, with ex Scott Disick - explained she didn't want her children to find out about the news online, so phoned to tell them.

"Hang up," Penelope responded, after breaking down into tears.

In a later confessional, Kourtney admitted her daughter was finding the news "hard," adding, "I think it's a big change for her. And even though she loves Travis, I think she doesn't know what that means. Like, you know, is that taking me away?"

While Travis's children Landon, 18, Alabama, 16, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 23, were present at a special dinner after the proposal, Kris Jenner had decided not to invite Kourt's kids. She explained that she thought they were too young to know what was going on, and she also didn't want to lie to Scott about what was happening.

Here's to hoping Penelope feels better about the news now.
