If you managed to get your hands on the Cult Beauty advent calendar last year, you were very lucky indeed. One of the most in-demand offerings of them all, this limited-edition beauty compendium swiftly crashed the retailer's site on launch day, reportedly selling out in entirety within just a couple of hours.
So, what’s in store for this year? Actually, Cult Beauty has raised the bar even further for 2021. Curated by the retailer’s on-point team of buyers, this festive edit contains 38 (yes, really) of the beauty destination's most-shopped products, which are together worth a staggering £960 – the highest value to-date.
We don’t want to spoil all the surprises, but it’s safe to say you’ll be able to revamp your skincare routine as well as your make-up bag, and even add a couple of soothing post-party bodycare treats to your shelf, too.
Saving the best until last, the big day itself will involve a full-size, exclusive new release from one of the site's buzziest brands. Plus, one very lucky calendar holds a 'Golden Ticket', worth £1000 to spend on a serious Cult Beauty shopping spree.
Naturally, blockbuster products sit alongside the new and niche in this calendar. Skincare heroes from the likes of Augustinus Bader and Dr. Barbara Sturm are bound to impress, but keep a keen eye out for equally brilliant products from the lesser-known Jordan Samuel and Supergoop too. In the make-up realm, Westman Atelier's ultra-luxe eyeshadow pod is the answer to effortless festive shimmer, while Sweed's mascara is one of the best lash-lengtheners around. In the self-care realm, there’s a treat from Molton Brown waiting behind one of the doors – not to mention a beautiful festive candle.
But the very best part of this spectacular advent calendar isn’t the swag inside, but the fact that each purchase supports a £40,000 donation to the Beauty Backed Trust: a non-profit set up during the pandemic to support industry professionals and small businesses most affected by the lockdowns. What's more, Cult Beauty has partnered with carbon-offset movement Climate Partner to plant one tree for every calendar sold.
The Cult Beauty advent calendar, £215, will be available on 12 October.
