A pedestrian suffered serious head injuries after he was struck by a bus.

The incident happened around 2.25pm on Saturday, March 25, on Borough Road, near to the junction with Melrose Street, in Middlesbrough.
The 40-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital with suspected serious head injuries and he remains in hospital receiving treatment.

The road was closed for some time while officers carried out enquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, is asked to call Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 056107.
