Peaky Blinders actress Sophie Rundle has announced the happy news that she is expecting her first child.
Sophie made the exciting revelation on Instagram as she shared a pair of photos of herself cradling her baby bump, announcing that her "new friend" will be here in the spring.
"New friend on the way. Arriving here with the daffodils and the sunnier days of spring ... O high riser, my little loaf," she wrote.
Sophie, who plays Ada Thorne in Peaky Blinders, was congratulated on her news by a number of famous faces, including Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor who wrote "Congratulations" accompanied by three heart emojis.
Finding Alice star Sharon Rooney wrote: "AHHHHHHH Congratulations," while Coronation Street actress Julia Goulding commented: "Congratulations sweetheart! Such wonderful news."
Meanwhile, Line of Duty actor Martin Compston wrote: "Amazing mate!!!! Congrats!!!!" while Sophie's Gentleman Jack co-star Suranne Jones also shared her love for the baby news, commenting with lots of heart and kiss emojis.
Sophie is engaged to actor Matt Stokoe, who starred alongside Sophie in both Sky period drama Jamestown and BBC thriller series Bodyguard.
In December Sophie confirmed that she had contracted COVID-19 and had been hospitalised as a result, revealing that she had been suffering from "quite the feast of festive ailments".
Thankfully she made a full recovery, later thanking her followers for their "lovely" messages and saying that she was "feeling much better".
Sophie will be back as the only Shelby sister in Peaky Blinders' sixth and final season, which is currently filming.
