Peaky Blinders actress Helen McCrory has died age 52

Harry Potter and Peaky Blinders actress Helen McCrory has sadly died at the age of 52, her husband Damian Lewis has announced.

The actor took to social media to share the sad news that his wife has died of cancer. The statement read:

"I'm heartbroken to announce that after an heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from family and friends.

"She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”

Helen played Polly Gray in Peaky Blinders and was known for her role as Narcissa Malfoy in multiple Harry Potter films. Her cancer diagnosis was kept a secret from the public.
