S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole's cause of death has been revealed
S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole died of natural causes, a coroner's report has confirmed.
The 46-year-old was found dead at his home in Dorset on 6 April, just weeks after the band announced a reunion tour to mark their 25th anniversary.
Speaking to the BBC, a spokesperson for Dorset Coroner's Office said that due to the nature of Cattermole's death there would be no inquest.
"We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul," the band wrote on Twitter after Cattermole's death was announced. "There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel."
They continued: "We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us."
More recently, the band revealed they'd rebranded in light of Cattermole's death, and will now go by 'S Club' rather than 'S Club 7'. In addition to announcing that their upcoming tour would go ahead in tribute of Cattermole, the band shared the sad news that Hannah Spearritt – who dated Cattermole for several years – would not be joining them.
"Although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won’t be joining us on this tour," the band said in a post on Instagram. "We wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up to crack on."
"It’s still so raw and I have these moments where I don’t quite believe that it’s real. I still can’t believe I will never see him again," Spearritt told The Sun shortly after Cattermole's passing. "I’m trying my best to hold it together but once I start, I can’t stop crying."
