Paris Jackson just brought back this 2008 hair trend from your uni days

Making an appearance at the Elizabeth Taylor Ball to end AIDS, Paris Jackson wore a specific hair accessory which flashed us back to 2008.

If you need help getting there, let me assist. Twilight had just come out in cinemas and thus the start of your Bella/Edward obsession began, Britney Spears' Circus album was on repeat and Barack Obama won the US election.

Oh and get this, Instagram didn't even exist...

However, there was one phenomenon from 2008 that we would like to forget, one that Mischa Barton pioneered and one that was inescapable at every music festival for years to come.

I'm talking about the headband.

Not to be confused with the hairband, the headband had pride of place in the middle of your forehead and came in various iterations. The most common being the plait and the infamous festival flowers.

Signalling the return of Mischa's favourite accessory and propelling us back to Snakebite-fuelled student union nights, Paris arrived on the red carpet with a brown leather plaited headband.

With her blonde hair styled in natural, loose waves, Paris was looking a lot more Woodstock than Wetherspoons (Blue Lagoon pitchers anyone?)

In our heads this is how we thought we looked all those years ago, when in reality we were more John McEnroe circa 1981.

So, how are we feeling about this? Are we feeling inspired to bring the headband back? Or, would we rather leave Paris to it and carry on with our lives without forehead indentations?

Do let me know.
