Of all the celebrities we expected to jump on the short-hair bandwagon, Paris Hilton was not one of them.
Known for her long, Barbie-blonde hair (plus the odd experimental pixie cut back in the day), she's all about the swishy ponytail these days. Which is why when we spotted a model in the latest Lanvin campaign who looked uncannily like Paris, with a demure bob and graduated, eye-skimming fringe, we had to do a double take.
“When we began discussing this campaign, I knew I wanted to portray Paris Hilton in a way that she has never been before,” Lanvin creative director, Bruno Sialelli, told Vogue.
Or perhaps Bruno was inspired by the hoards of celebrities who decided to go for the chop recently? Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot got a curly bob for the Golden Globe Awards, Gwen Stefani posed for the cover of Wonderland with a jet-black bob and brow-skimming fringe, and even Molly-Mae Hague ditches her extensions every now and then to reveal her naturally shorter locks.
Although we're open to Paris' new 'do being the work of a very good wig (styled by hairstylist Jimmy Paul), we suspect it could become the socialite's new signature look. “I felt incredible,” she said about the socially distant shoot. “I just felt empowered, elegant, and chic.”
And now that we're talking about Paris again - petition to commission a new series of The simple Life? Pleeeeease?
