Panera Is Giving Away Free Bagels This Week

Is it just me or is there a new food holiday every day? National Ice Cream Day and National Cheeseburger Day are some big ones that come to mind, but just last week, I discovered that January is host to a dizzying array of food holidays like National Bloody Mary Day and National Corn Chip Day.

While it can be overwhelming to keep track of all of them, there's almost always a food establishment that does something to celebrate. Whether it's Krispy Kreme giving out free doughnuts to ring in National Doughnut Day or Kraft handing out grilled cheese-scented incense for National Grilled Cheese Day (you read that right), there's at least always something fun to look forward to.

Now, with National Bagel Day on Jan. 15, you bet there's going to be a free bagel promotion somewhere, and that somewhere is Panera Bread.

How to Get a Free Bagel at Panera Bread

Panera has two things to celebrate this time around. If you haven't heard about it yet, the chain just dropped a new line of sandwiches served on its fan-favorite Asiago bagels. To kick off the launch of the new menu items, the chain is offering a free bagel with cream cheese with any purchase of its Asiago Bagel Stacks. But, there is a catch.

Like many fast food promotions, this one is only available to MyPanera members. So, if you haven't already signed up for its free rewards program, the first step is to join through the app or website. Then, all you have to do is buy one of Panera's new Asiago Bagel Stacks to qualify for a free bagel with cream cheese. Just be sure to select the reward when ordering, as it won't be automatically applied. The offer runs from Jan. 15 to Jan. 21 and is limited to one reward per member. Happy National Bagel Day to us.
