Oxfordshire's motorists will have a number of road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows closures in place this week:

• A34, from 8pm June 1 2022 to 5am October 31 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, major works advance warning signage only for Oxfordshire County Council works.

• A34, from 6am August 1 2022 to 11.59pm October 31 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, Lane closures on the exit slips for Oxfordshire County Council works.

• A34, from 8pm April 11 to 6am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Peartree, slip road and lane closures for Oxfordshire County Council, diversion route via National Highways network.

• A34, from 8pm September 11 2023 to 6am March 12 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Botley, carriageway, slip road and lane closures for structures work.

• A34, from 9pm September 11 2023 to 6am March 19 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Botley, Narrow lanes on all slip roads for construction work.

• A34, from 8pm September 29 to 6am October 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Marcham, carriageway closure between the exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing.

• M40, from 9pm September 25 to 6am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 5 to junction 6, Lane closures due to maintenance work.

• M40, from 9pm September 25 to 6am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 6 to junction 5, Lane closures due to maintenance work.
