Outer Banks' Madelyn is apparently 'living her single girl moment' after Chase split
When it was revealed earlier this week that Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes had called time on their relationship after just over a year (collectively breaking the hearts of Outer Banks stans across the world), the future of the series was called in to question – after all, their characters on the hit Netflix show are very much still together, which could be awks to film. But, according to a source close to Madelyn who spoke to E! Online, she's very much moving on and is "living her single girl moment."
The insider pointed out that the duo "have been done for a while," so they've both been able to deal with the breakup out of the public eye. The source also added that Madelyn "has been over it for a long time and talking to other people casually."
Rumours that the pair might have ended things first came to light back in September, when 23-year-old Madelyn was spotted dancing with 13 Reasons Why star Ross Butler while the pair were in Milan with friends for Fashion Week. But, Butler later confirmed to TMZ that he and the Outer Banks actor were "just friends."
But the break up rumours continued into October, when Madelyn enjoyed a solo trip to Dubai. Fans noticed how Chase was distinctively missing from all of her photos on social media, whereas he used to be a regular on her feed.
Although it's unclear exactly when the pair split, according to a source who spoke to People, "Madelyn and Chase are no longer together." The insider continued: "They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago."
