As summer arrives and temperatures start to soar there’s no better time for some al fresco fitness fun.
And despite finally reopening their doors, a number of London’s top studios are continuing to offer outdoor group training in parks and green spaces around the capital.
From open-air spinning to bootcamp-style training and stand-up paddleboarding, we’ve picked the best outdoor classes to get those endorphins pumping.
Outdoor silent disco spinning
Let off steam at one of static’s 45-minute outdoor spin classes at Embassy Gardens in south London (pictured above). Classes will run six days a week throughout summer and are released on a weekly basis. Clip in and tune out.

SoulCycle Outside at Selfridges
Offering more open-air spin, SoulCycle disciples will be please to know the brand has opened its first outdoor studio in the UK at Selfridges, just off Oxford Street. SoulCycle instructors are hosting a daily schedule of 45-minute workouts, and riders receive silent disco-style headphones to listen to the beat for the duration of the class.

As well as relaunched in-studio classes, BXR is also still holding 45-minute PARKS classes in Marylebone. Choose from SweatBOX or Strength and Conditioning.

Over in Victoria Park, Victus Soul is serving up 50-minute sessions of cardio (expect plenty of running intervals) or boxing drills combined with bodyweight strength training. Classes run Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Military Fit with BMF
Military Fit is a 60-minute military-style training workout that incorporates elements of cardio and strength to improve fitness, power and speed. Classes are open to all abilities - don’t be afraid to get sweaty, the results will be worth it.

Stand Up Paddleboarding with Active 360
Take to the waters with a spot of paddleboarding - it will test your balance and strength and help you build a rock-hard core. Classes begin with land-based training before you hit the Thames to perfect your technique . Choose from either private lessons or group classes.

LDN MUMS FITNESS
Sarah Campus, a PT and nutrition coach specialising in pregnancy and post-partum fitness, set up LDN MUMS FITNESS to offer new lockdown mums a safe space to get back into exercise. She offers group training and PT sessions outdoors as well as on-demand classes and Zoom PTs for new mums who prefer to train from home.

David Lloyd outdoor fitness
David Lloyd has expanded its class offering to include a number of outdoor sessions in its open-air spaces. There will be yoga, Pilates, group cycling and Battlebox, the outdoor bootcamp-style class set in a dedicated outdoor training zone. Tennis and personal training is also available, as is swimming in the outdoor pools.
Price: memberships vary between £50 and £150.

Burn up to 600 calories in a single bootcamp class with Swift Fitness which resume today. The feel-good workouts vary daily to keep you on your toes but a typical session includes fat-torching intervals, calorie-blasting circuits and team games that will leave you on a high.

Regain your post-natal fitness with the expert team at BuggyFit, the UK’s largest buggy workout network for mums and babies. The hour-long sessions include a power walk to get your heart pumping, followed by low-impact muscle-focused exercises to gradually build back up your strength post-baby.

POD Fitness offers small group personal training sessions for up to five people at a time. Want to brush up on your running technique? Park HIIT Bootcamp with Train Dirty London
Train Dirty London combines high-intensity interval training with bootcamp-style exercises in 45-minute classes which will fire up your metabolism and burn fat fast. Classes typically have between 7-10 people per trainer and go ahead regardless of the weather. Expect to improve your cardio fitness while building lean muscle.

Yoga with BayLeaf Yoga
