Oti Mabuse shared the sweetest tribute to her husband after Strictly Come Dancing win
Oti Mabuse and Bill Bailey won Strictly Come Dancing over the weekend.
The pro dancer shared a series of sweet tributes to her nearest and dearest after being crowned champ for the second year running.
Oti Mabuse, a.k.a the reigning Queen of Strictly Come Dancing, just posted a rare tribute to her husband of six years on Instagram. After winning the Glitterball trophy with dance partner Bill Bailey on Saturday night, Oti shared a gorgeous selfie of her with partner Marius and their dog Leo.
"To my husband 💚 MY ABSOLUTE ROCK! You’ve been there for me through all of it and more running the school through lockdown, being a friend, husband, and taking care of Leo has meant everything," she wrote. "You made my world a better place on every occasion, you reminded me to keep going, of who I am and what we mean to each other 💛💛💛 these cuddles or moments I’ll cherish forever 🌟 love you to the moon and back @mariusiepure."
Her post came moments after she shared an equally lovely tribute to comedian Bill Bailey. She posted a montage of the dance duo's best bits on Strictly: from Bill lying on the floor in rehearsals to performing their now iconic dance to 'Rapper's Delight'. Honestly, I dare you to watch it without shedding a tear.
"(Bill) brings fire," Oti says in the clip. "I think there's a difference between somebody being a comic act and somebody just being fun. I honestly and truly believe that from the bottom of my heart that Bill can become an incredible dancer."
Bill also praised pro Oti following their win, saying, "I think this a huge testament to (Oti's) skill as a teacher that (she's) managed to bring something out of me and put it into this dance."
Oti also called Bill her "best friend" alongside a cute Instagram post, writing: "One magical night 💛 I can’t find the words to describe how grateful I am. At the beginning of the year my goal was to humble myself with everything I experience this year and boy did this close my year on a high with the best friend I made in @billbaileyofficial."
It was such a close call because the talent was so incredible this year, but these two were very well-deserved winners. Congrats Oti and Bill!
