Opportunities still available to apply for a place at Warrington college

THE time to act is now for students who are yet to have submitted their college applications for the coming year.

Warrington & Vale Royal College have announced it is not to late to apply for a place at their prestigious setting this September.

Emphasising how important the decision is of choosing where to go with your education journey beyond secondary school, the college have decided to leave their applications open for longer to give students time to properly weigh up their decisions.

The college, on Long Lane, offers more than 90 courses for 16-18 year olds, including T Levels, vocational courses and apprenticeships.

Passionate about ensuring learning is accessible to all students, the college has plenty of qualifications to choose from in a huge variety of different subjects, such as business, performing arts, science, computing & IT, childcare and engineering to name a few.

Its vocational routes which combine academic learning with practical skills and industry experience.

They open several doors for students, so they can choose a variety of roots to take post-studies, whether that be university, an apprenticeship or straight into paid employment.

So far this year, more than 90 per cent of the college’s level three students who have applied for universities up and down the country have received early offers, and are now looking forward to making their way to some of the UK’s top research institutions and prestigious Russell Group universities.

The college has links with some of the region’s leading employers for apprenticeships and industry placements, including KDE, Bloor Homes and the NHS – an outstanding 90% of their apprentices are successful in securing full-time, permanent employment following completion of their qualification.
