While it's not usually the cheapest, there's currently a huge sale on for Black Friday where you can nab one of the brand's viral hooded blankets in select styles (including my very own Avocado Oodie) for just £26 — down from £65. That's an enormous saving of £39. The lowest price I've ever seen it, but only for a limited amount of time.

Stay warm this winter with everyone's favourite oversized hooded blanket — The Oodie.
Born in 2018 and described as "the world's best wearable blanket", an Oodie is a half blanket, half hoodie hybrid made from a premium blend of sherpa and fleece. As for its viral status, the cosy loungewear item has racked up over 59 million video views on TikTok.
Gifted to me during the height of the cost-of-living crisis, I can wholeheartedly say it's one of my favourite, and most cost-effective items in my wardrobe. So here's my honest thoughts.
💸 Reasons to buy
First and foremost, it's adorable. Designed with the mantra one-size-fits-most (it's based on a 6XL hoodie), each Oodie comes lined with a super soft sherpa fleece, features an oversized front pocket and a gigantic hood. Not to mention, they are available in a huge range of fun prints for both kids and adults.
The combination of sherpa fleece on the inside and flannel fleece on the outside means it's not just incredibly comfortable to wear, but it keeps you nice and warm at the same time.
To put things into perspective, I haven't switched my heating on once so far this year.

Another bonus is the size — it's big. I'm 5'4 and around a size 10-12 in clothes, my Avocado Oodie falls by my calves, and is wide enough that I could (if I wanted to) fit someone else in there with me.
The oversized pocket attached to the front is great, too. It comfortably holds things like my phone, books, chargers, snacks and more.
✋ Reasons to avoid
For a wearable blanket, it does come at quite the cost (although, various styles are on sale right now for between £26 and £35). But, I have to say, in the long run it's absolutely worth the initial investment.
Due to its size, storage can be a little tricky. In the summer months you could opt for a vacuum-sealed bag to help flatten it, but otherwise you'll need a spot with plenty of room. I've resorted to hanging mine on a hook on the back of my bedroom door for easy retrieval when it's cold.
