Only Fools and Horses stars reunite on Loose Women

Tessa Peake-Jones and Gwyneth Strong who played Raquel and Cassandra on the hit BBC sitcom reunited to appear on ITV's Loose Women and talk about their new play Ladies of Letters.

- And that's why I'm like, so surprised it was so few actual series. Because everybody just still loves watching it, don't they?

- They do.

- Yeah.

- And it seems it's done that thing where it goes across the generations. So now we get kids coming and saying, oh, I want to get an autograph for my granddad, and my granddad got me into the show. And you just think, that's quite special, really.

- Yeah.

- We never saw that coming at all.

- No.

- I think I'm right in saying that neither of you were fully aware of what the show was before you went to audition for it?

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

- I had never seen it.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

- My family was a fan of it, so I did. But the main thing was, when we went into it, we didn't know we were going into it for a full series.

- Yeah, that's true.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

- It was we were both booked sort of for an episode. It was all a bit last minute. So therefore, we didn't have that great-- that helped, in a way, didn't it?

- Yeah.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

- I think it would have exciting to do one episode, and then it went from there.
