The BBC's new three-part series The Pursuit Of Love starring Lily James and Dominic West just landed, and it's already got people talking. There's one thing in particular that everyone is saying about the new period drama, and we can totally see why.

In case you need a recap, The Pursuit of Love is a three-part TV adaptation of the classic novel of the same name by Nancy Mitford. In essence, it's a romcom period drama set between the two world wars following aristocratic heroine Linda Radlett (Lily James) and her romantic adventures to find true love. Narrated by her "more proper" cousin Fanny Logan (Emily Beecham), Linda's hunt for a husband sees her travelling from her manor home in Oxfordshire all the way to Paris in the roaring twenties – an adventure showcasing the stark difference between the two girls.

The first episode landed on BBC One last night (May 9) and already Twitter is full of fans discussing their favourite (and sometimes least favourite) bits about the adaptation. But there's one thing in particular that fans seems to all agree on - that they absolutely love Andrew Scott in his role as Lord Merlin.

This hardly comes as a massive surprise. Known for his impeccable performances in Fleabag, His Dark Materials and Sherlock, Andrew Scott is basically an institution at this point. But it goes to show just how good he is that he's the one getting people talking in the series that Lily James and Dominic West had been filming in the months prior to those paparazzi photos hitting the headlines in September.

Kudos to you, Andrew. We can't wait for episode 2.
