One of the Strictly Come Dancing judges will very sadly not be appearing on the show this week due to health concerns. Unfortunately, Craig Revel Horwood will be notably absent from the panel this weekend.

In a very similar vein to former contestant Judi Love, Craig has tested positive for Covid-19, meaning he will have to isolate for at least ten days. The news was shared by a spokesperson for the show who sounded optimistic about him being fit and healthy enough to return to the judging panel next week.

The Strictly spokesperson said, as reported by the Radio Times: 'Craig Revel Horwood has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines. While Craig will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, all being well he will return the following week.'

This week's episode will focus on the theme 'musicals'.

Another contestant on this series, Tom Fletcher of the band McFly, also shared Craig and Judi's coronavirus experience after testing positive less than 24 hours after the show initially kicked off. His dance partner, Amy Dowden, also tested positive.

This led to the programme releasing a similar statement reading: 'The pair are now self-isolating separately following the latest government guidelines. While they will both miss Saturday's live show, Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that, all being well, they will return the following week.

'Strictly has and will continue to follow government guidelines in order to keep everyone safe.'

Here's wishing Craig a full and speedy recovery and hoping that he'll be back in his rightful spot in time for next week's offering.
