All eyes were on Olivia Colman at the 2020 Oscars, who debuted bleach blonde hair for the special occasion.
As is customary for the reigning Leading Actress winner, Colman attended to present the gold statue to this year's Leading Actor – and did so in an incredibly elegant Stella McCartney gown with a contrasting train. The navy and white colours ensured her new hair hue popped brilliantly on the red carpet.
Hairstylist Marcus Francis was responsible for transforming Colman's naturally brunette crop, on the same day of the ceremony. He used Redken colour, then lots of care when styling, he explained on Instagram:
"I used Better Natured Moisturizing Shampoo, followed by the Moisturizing Masque after just bleaching her hair to platinum blonde," he wrote.
"On towel dried hair, I applied the Better Natured Reshapeable Heat Lotion with a few spritzes of the Beach Texture Spray. I sculpted her hair into pics with my hands, drying it on low speed it started to set her hair into place. For finishing touches I used the Better Natured Strengthening Leave In Cream to piece out any extra kicks on the hair."
Completing Colman's fresh new look was make-up by artist Sarah Uslan using No7.
The actress' skin was glowing with a pop of creamy pink blush matching rosy pink lips, while her eyes were defined with inky black liner and her brows brushed up for a youthful finish.
