Olivia Colman debuts icy blonde hair in huge change
Known for her iconic movie roles in The Crown, Broadchurch and Heartstopper (to name but a few), Oscar winner Olivia Colman is an actor to be reckoned with, assuming many polarising and born-again characterisations. With these roles come many transformative beauty looks, but nothing could have quite prepared us for the star's most recent makeover, brought to us in celebration of her new movie, Wonka.
Olivia attended the film's premiere on 28 November – she stars in the remake as Mrs Scrubbit – and debuted a dramatic 'mini milk' peroxide blonde hairstyle.
Not only is this world's apart from the cropped bouffant hairstyle she wore when playing Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown, but also from her signature grey peppered brunette look.
Olivia and her husband Ed Sinclair looked adorable posing arm in arm, but we couldn't take our eyes off of this bleached pixie cut; it really suits her.
Now, contrary to the age-old beauty rule that lighter blonde hair is the appropriate tone for spring/summer, we think this is the perfect frosted winter hairdo. Plus, we love the deep parted relaxed finger waves and extra short style; it's the epitome of 1920s glamour. Think Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby, minus a few inches off the ends.
Hair aside, we also must acknowledge the glitz and sparkle of Olivia's makeup. We'll certainly be recreating this silver glitter liner look for the upcoming festivities.
