An Offer You Can't Refuse: Mansion From The Godfather Is Available To Rent For Just $50 A Night

The Staten Island mansion from the iconic 1972 movie 'The Godfather' is availble to rent for just $50 a night. The spectacular 6,248-square-foot home will be available for the month of August in celebration of the film's 50th anniversary. Up to five guests will have private access to the mansion that was home to Vito Corleone, played by Marlon Brando. Luxury amenities include a large saltwater pool, a pub in the basement, a game room, and a gym. The posting on Airbnb describes the home as a 'charming but expansive' property that has undergone renovations and is completely modernised. The exterior of the English Tudor-style mansion was used in the movie for memorable scenes including the wedding of Vito's daughter Connie Corleone, who was played by Talia Shire. Director Francis Ford Coppola had an artificial wall built around the home for filming so that it seemed like a fortified compound in the movie. Boasting five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the home is 'most suitable for two adults and three children'. Booking opens on Wednesday, 27th July 6pm BST for one party of up to five guests for a 30-night stay from August 1 to 31 for $1,500 (£1,250) - working out at $50 (£41) per night. The 1972 movie, also starring James Caan, Diane Keaton and Robert Duvall, chronicles the gangster family from 1945 to 1955. It was at one time the highest-grossing film.
