Young Sheldon cast and crew avoid NTAs over Hollywood strikes
Young Sheldon just won the NTA for the Comedy category, but none of the cast and crew turned up to accept the award.
This is because of the Hollywood actors' and writers' strikes currently taking place over demands for fairer pay, a better deal on residuals, and more protection against artificial intelligence.
More than 100,000 people are taking part in the strikes which have caused major productions including Emily in Paris and Stranger Things.

Due to the ongoing Hollywood actors' and writers' strikes, the cast and crew of the series were not present to accept the award and did not send a recorded message.
Host Joel Dommett accepted the award on their behalf and promised to make sure it made its way to the crew.
