You can now get pink grapefruit and rose botanical rum in time for Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is fast approaching - we're officially over January now - with plenty of romantic, pink-inspired food and drink to get excited about and indulge in.
The Spirited Union Distillery is launching a new light rum flavour just in time for Valentine’s Day - their Spirited Union Pink Grapefruit & Rose, which makes a pretty pink cocktail with a floral and tangy taste to impress your date.
The distillery explains: "Made by distilling the skin of blush-pink grapefruits to match the refreshing floral taste of Swazi rum. The rum is enhanced with infused blood orange for a bitter-sweet sour taste and has been vapour-infused with fragrant garden rose petals and elderflower to give an intense floral aroma.
"The lush, open and highly fragrant petals work perfectly with honey-scented elderflower. Their sweet and tangy aromas create the perfect union of citrus and blossom."
To make the perfect Valentine's tipple, they advise adding 60ml Spirited Union Pink Grapefruit & Rose, 30ml Fresh Lime juice, 10ml sugar syrup and 5ml Grenadine into a shaker filled with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a rose petal.
Meanwhile, M&S is celebrating Valentine's day with Percy Pig-themed Valentine's Day gifts, one of which includes a super-cute Percy Pig Valentine’s Day Tin, which will set you back £5. It's crammed full of Percy Pig Biscuits: vanilla biscuits sandwiched together with a Percy-flavoured filling. Also inside the keepsake tin are heart-shaped head boppers.
Baileys is bringing back the limited edition Baileys Red Velvet Cupcake flavour for Valentine's Day. The limited-edition Red Velvet blends the original Irish Cream with the taste of fresh chocolate cake, cream cheese and a hint of cocoa powder. Delicious.
