Plus, there have been a some pretty interesting variations of the meaty snack.
And now, in an attempt to upstage Morrisons’ ones, Asda is selling a pigs in blankets fondue. A FONDUE!
This bad boy would be the talk of any festive knees up, right?
@NewFoodsUK shared a photo of the fancy fondue on its Instagram page. From what we can see from the photo, the 421g pack is gluten-free, and will set you back a fiver.
It’s described as “16 pigs in blankets with a gooey Camembert centre for some delicious dipping!”
Sounds alright to me.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but combing Morrisons’ cheesy pigs in blankets with this would be the ultimate cheesy, meaty treat, and you know I’m into that.
Morrisons’ pigs feature a combination of aged Red Leicester cheese and British sausage meat, wrapped in dry cured, smoked and streaky bacon. They’re available to buy in store and online. A 210g pack, which includes 10 sausages, will set you back £3.
Pigs in blankets are so popular at the minute that not only are supermarkets getting stuck in, but takeaway places are too. Greggs is currently selling pots of pigs in blankets as a nice little side for your Festive Bake or the pigs under blankets baguette. How many pigs in blankets is too many pigs in blankets?
