If you’re a fan of mozzarella, you are going to love its naughty little brother, burrata. Imagine the best mozzarella you’ve ever tasted, then times it by a million and give it a super-oozy, creamy middle. That’s your boy, burrata.

Knowing our love of little fella, M&S has just launched its very own burrata, which you can buy in store right now.

For just £2.75 for a 150g ball of oozy, gooey goodness, you’ll struggle to find a dish that’s not improved by this burrata. It’s awesome when strewn across pizza, pasta or risotto, or simply served with ripe tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, olive oil and sea salt.

Want to know more about this specific burrata? Well, here’s what Marks & Spencer has to say about it: “Burrata is a fresh Italian cow’s milk cheese, the outer shell is made of solid mozzarella, but inside is a combination of Stracciatella and cream, which bursts out into luxurious ribbons of stringy rich goodness.

“Made in the Italian region of Puglia, famous for its endless hectares of olive trees and vineyards growing velvety red Primitivo grapes.”

Seeing as we’re organising picnics like no one’s business right now, it’s definitely worth taking a trip to your local M&S and picking up as many of these burrata balls as your arms can carry. Your picnic pals will be dead impressed, especially if all they bring is a bag of sweet chilli Sensations and some carrot sticks.
