Green beans are delicious and very good for you. There are so many green bean recipes out there, you’d be crazy not to include green beans into your weekly veggies intake.

But there is one thing that is super-annoying about green beans, and that’s prepping them.

You get them out the bag and they fly all over the place. You then get them back together in some kind of order and spend the next 20 minutes trying to line them all up so you can trim the ends off.

Well, what if I were to tell you there’s a super-quick, super-easy hack that means you can cut the ends off your green beans is a fraction of the time.

I can’t remember when I learnt this hack, but I’ve used it every time since I found out about it.

Right, so you’ve got your pack of green beans. Now, whatever you do, don’t take them out the packet. Simply shake them so they’re all down one end of the packet, then slice them through the bag.

I know… genius, right?!

Then, all you have to do is shake them to the other end and do the same. And if you need them in half, you can cut them in half in the packet too. Again, this keeps them all neatly in place.

It turns out I’m not the only one to cut my green beans like this – @mealswithmax has shared a TikTok showing you exactly how to do it.

Now you just have to decide to do with all that spare time you have now…
