Three dead after head-on crash between lorry and car near Northampton

Three people have been killed in a head-on crash between a car and lorry in Northamptonshire.

Police confirmed two men and a woman died in the collision, which took place on the A43 between Northampton and Kettering at around 2pm on Tuesday.

The accident involved a red Vauxhall Corsa and a White Volvo Tipper lorry travelling in the opposite direction.

The two vehicles crashed between Sywell and Hannington.

The force said all three occupants of the Corsa were pronounced dead at the scene.

Northamptonshire Police said in a statement: “Police officers are appealing for witnesses after three people died following a collision on the A43 between Northampton and Kettering.

“At about 2pm on Tuesday, February 18, a red Vauxhall Corsa and a white Volvo Tipper lorry were travelling in the opposite direction when they collided between Sywell and Hannington, near to the Sywell Range.

“Following the collision all three occupants of the Vauxhall Corsa – two men and a woman – were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”
