You might be used to seeing Daisy Edgar-Jones as the meek Marianne from Normal People, but the actress's next project has just been announced and sounds ~totally~ different.

Expect to see Daisy like you've never seen her before, sans Irish accent and (potentially) without her iconic fringe, in the social thriller movie, Fresh.

Though details about the upcoming project are currently under wraps, what we do know is Daisy will take on the lead role in the production based on Ibiza screenwriter Lauryn Kahn's script, directed by Mimi Cave.

Adam McKay and Kevin Messick, who worked together on Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and Vice, have signed on to produce the movie. No word on when filming might start or what the film is actually about, but we're SO excited to see Daisy in her next role.

The news comes off the back of Normal People's Paul Mescal starring in his first role since the BBC hit, too. The Deceived has been airing on Channel 5, and features the actor as Sean McKeough, a builder who helps an acquaintance to figure out mysterious goings on in her personal life.

As for the possibility of seeing Daisy as Marianne ever again? There's no confirmation of a Normal People season 2 as of yet, but The Mirror report the BBC are "desperate" for a follow up, with an insider commenting, "The BBC are desperate to get going on series two. The viewing numbers are huge and they want more of the same.

"They want to strike while the iron is hot and get working on the series as soon as possible. Their hope is to roll out the series in a similar time frame to Killing Eve. But it all depends on if they can get Sally Rooney on board."
