Nike just launched its first maternity range
Expecting a baby or just given birth and in the market for some new kit? Well, Nike quite possibly has the answer you're looking for. Announced this week, the behemoth sports brand has released its first maternity sportswear range, Nike (M), designed for mums and mums-to-be.
The new Nike (M) range consists of a breastfeeding-friendly sports bra with an innovative wrap design for easy feeds; super stretchy gym tights with a foldable band to balance bump support with comfort postpartum; a sleek tank with access for nursing or pumping; and, a reversible tulip-shaped long-sleeved layer for warmth, comfort and to accommodate a changing body shape.
Part of the inspiration behind Nike's expansion into maternity wear is the understanding that pregnancy is a key moment many women drop out of exercise and sport, largely due to issues with kit, comfort and support. Nike's new collection aims to keep women moving however they want, with functional gear that makes their life easier without sacrificing their own style to do so.
Designers tested over 70 materials for stretch, recovery, comfort, and dri-fit performance to make sure the kit could hold up to the rigours of daily life as a pregnant person and new mother.

The new Nike (M) collection will be available to shop from September 17th on Nike.com and at Nike Town London.
