British YouTuber Nicole Thea has died at the age of 24 while pregnant with her unborn child, her family have confirmed in a statement.

On Sunday, the family posted a photograph of Thea, who had 84,000 subscribers on YouTube, on Instagram, where she had 156,000 followers.

It appears the caption was written by Thea’s mothers, who informed the influencer’s fans that Thea and her partner, street dancer Global Boga (whose real name is Jeffery Frimpon) had named their unborn son Reign.

“To all Nicole’s friends and supporters it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Nicole and her son she and Boga named Reign sadly passed away on Saturday morning,” the caption began.

The statement went on to explain that Thea had pre-scheduled a few YouTube videos prior to her death and that her partner has allowed them to air as normal.

“As a family we ask that you give us privacy because our hearts are truly broken and we are struggling to cope with what has happened,” the statement continued.

“Thank you her mum RIP My beautiful baby girl Nicnac and my grandson Reign, I will miss you for the rest of my life until we meet again in eternal heaven [sic].”

The popular YouTuber lived in London and was just weeks away from her due date.

Thea was known for her dance videos and her hair tutorials. She also frequently shared details about her life and her pregnancy.

Social media users have flooded the post with messages of condolences.

“Completely and utterly heartbroken,” wrote one person.

“RIP such a beautiful soul gone too soon. Prayers and condolences to your family,” added another.

Former Love Island star Alexandra Cane commented: “This is heartbreaking I’m so sorry.”

Thea’s cause of death has not yet been publicly announced.
