Nicole Scherzinger just debuted a shoulder-length bob haircut
When we think of Nicole Scherzinger, a few things come to mind: her Pussycat Dolls era, the Britains Got Talent period and of course, her long dark wavy tresses. Now, whilst the latter may not be an obvious first thought for some, here on the Cosmo beauty desk, we can spot a trademark cut from a mile away – I mean, the style has seen her (and I) through some tough times (read: 2010's PCD break up).
But before I get too carried away waxing poetic about said tresses, this news just in: it appears* that Nicole has cut all of those lengths off... [insert dramatic music, here.] Yep, you read that right for she has switched out her iconic look for a much shorter 'do. Allow me to present, the shoulder-length blunt bob.
The singer took to her Instagram feed just short of 24 hours ago to debut the chop with two separate posts – one of which includes five snaps of Nicole flaunting her sleek cut and the other an "escalator eleganza" video, as she puts it, showing off the before and after transformation.
In the caption of her first post, the singer shares that the look is for the Cannes Film Festival in France.
I mean, is this not just the definition of the glass-like 'liquid hair' trend?! Aka, glossy, sleek locks that make for reflecting light even more than water does.
Creative Director, hairstylist and texture specialist, Anastasia Stylianou was the genius behind said hairstyle and even took to her own 'Gram to share further details. "Hair installed by me," she writes in the caption.
*Key word: "Installed."
Sorry to shatter ones dream here, folks, but as revealed by the artist herself, it seems Nic's bob is a wig.
Alas, temporary or not, we know this will be the cut of the season – just see to Eva Longoria, Kourtney Kardashian and Emma Stone's recent lewks. And I certainly ain't mad about it. *Adds look to overflowing hairspo folder*.
