Nicole Kidman has revealed she regrets that she didn’t have 10 children.

The Big Little Lies star, 54, is mum to daughters Sunday, 13, and Faith, 10, with her husband Keith Urban and has two adopted children from her former marriage with Tom Cruise.

But she told Marie Claire Australia she "would've loved 10".

According to the Daily Mail, she told the magazine: “I wish I'd had more children but I wasn't given that choice.

“But that's OK.

"I get to mother other children. I have six nieces and nephews and I'm godmother to 12. I love mothering, I love kids and what they say.”

Kidman has previously told how she suffered an ectopic pregnancy, which is when a fertilised egg is implanted outside the womb, during her 10-year marriage to Cruise.

She got pregnant a second time during the marriage but had a miscarriage.

“I know the yearning,” the Australian star told Tatler magazine in 2018. “That yearning. It’s a huge, aching yearning. And the loss! The loss of a miscarriage is not talked about enough. That’s massive grief to certain women."

Kidman and Cruise adopted daughter Isabella and son Connor while they were together.

After they split the star went on to marry country singer Urban in 2006, and they welcomed daughter Sunday in 2008.

Faith was born via a surrogate in 2010.

Speaking in 2017, Kidman said she would love to have more children but that Urban was “kind of maxed-out”.

She told presenter Victoria Derbyshire in an interview with the BBC: “He’s like, ‘I’m done baby, I’m done. Let’s just focus on what we have’.”
